Today we were asked to come to the kitchen before 7, as we usually do oneline and then leave and check grooming, after that we were allowed into the kitchen. Today there is a slight difference that we switched places with class B, my class was asked to oneline at Main Kitchen and class B to do oneline in a cold kitchen. Before starting practice, our seniors review all of us. I got ingredients about herbs and spices.
Spices or "Herbs" are aromatic plants that are added to food as a flavoring and appetite enhancer. Herbs consist mainly of herbs originating from cold regions, and are usually used fresh. Spices are plants or parts of plants added to food to increase or arouse appetite. Spices mostly grow in the tropics and are widely used in food processing to give flavor to food. Spices can also be said as dried herbs. In essence, herbs and spices both give and enhance the taste and aroma of food.
After that we were invited to do our preparations yesterday, my group continued to make Hawaiian chicken salad, today my group is somewhat relaxed with the menu to be made because most of it was prepared yesterday, today we just need to make mayonnaise and cut pineapple for the mixture Hawaiian chicken salad. After everything was done, we mixed all the ingredients, then at 11:00 we started plotting the menu. At 11:30 our food all started to enter the restaurant, then we were allowed to take a short break.
Followed by preparing a menu for tomorrow, my group got a soup that is minestrone soup. Soup or soup is a soup made from broth made by boiling the ingredients, and usually given herbs and other ingredients to taste. Ingredients consisting of meat, vegetables, or beans are boiled to form cider. Boiling was not a common cooking method until the creation of a waterproof container about 5,000 years ago.
Minestrone is a thick soup from Italy. This soup comes from the word "minestra", a term used to refer to thick soup. Generally, minestrone is cooked from tomato sauce which is filled with pods, onions, celery, chopped tomatoes and carrots, then added pasta. Minestrone is the most popular Italian cuisine, where each region has its own recipe variations. Historically, the possibility of this soup was made from leftover food. This dish comes from the recipe of farmers who want to make simple but nutritious and filling dishes. There is a separate term that categorizes simple dishes that are created in people's kitchens, namely cucina provera or the cooking of the poor. Even so, the Italians loved Minestrone so much that in every home and region, they created enormous variations.
